Hi Caitlin,
Yes indeed. I hope more folks come to this board. I was surprised, but really happy when I saw this board. I'm going to have to go on the news and suggestions board and thank admin. For right now, I think there's just the 2 of us out here. Since boards that don't get used much usually get taken down, I'm going to use it, even if I end up talking to myself. I like typing and reading my own posts anyway, lol. This great. Maybe eventually, there will be enough participation on this board that I'll totally leave the other boards altogether and not go back.

I wonder what time this board was created? It's pretty brand new I know, last night it wasn't here, and I was just seeing what topics were going on the other boards, and I found it here. It's like an early christmas present from the internet santa.

Hi Torico,
Nice to meet you. I say nice to meet you because we've never talked before. Welcome to the safe haven. This is a family oriented board, and it was just created Saturday. Caitlin and I were the first 2 to get it started, and I'm doing my bit to see that it doesn't get taken down for lack of use.
Welcome abord.

Post 19 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 10-Nov-2004 23:42:30

Thanks Caitlin, well as far as I know, keeping a board in use is what keeps it up, probably even if there aren't many people on it. I think boards get taken down if there is no activity on it for a long long time. I use the topics with new posts to see what's going on in the other boards, and if I identify with the poster and their topic, I will reply, but I haven't started a topic on my own on the other boards since we got this one. Except for replying to a topic on another board once in a while, this is where I post original topics. And thanks to you Caitlin for wanting this board too, if I'd been the only one who asked for it, it probably wouldn't be here. There were at last count, 85 posts, and with the post about voice vs text chat, and now with my reply to this one, that makes about 90 posts, lol, not bad for a board that's only been up for 4 days.

Well cg, I'm always happy, but cheese burger weekend makes me even happier. I will always have mine with cheese and mayo only, hold all that other stuff. If they mess with my perfect burger, that will make me want to scream, yell, and jump up and down. Even if all that other stuff is scraped off, I can still taste where It's been, and no thanks, yuk. cheese burger with mayonaisse only for ever.

Post 30 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 12-Nov-2004 0:49:46

Lol guys, I'm the same way about my burger. Just cheese and the meat. Yum yum. Once, we went to a burger place for school, if we sold enough magazines. We drove there in a limo. I thought it woudl be fun, but they blasted rap music all teh way, and I had to hold my ears, and my bones were rattling because of the bass, all the way there. Plus, the boys were throwing ice cubes from the ice chest and making rude hand signs out the window. Plus, none of my friends came. Then, we got to the burger place, and all the burgers were ready-made, and had like everything on them! I told the people that I really just wanted a plain burger with cheese and meat, and they said okay and they brought me a new one, only it was the same old one with everything scraped off, and I oculd still taste it. How cheap is that? Anyway I like ate one bite, and then I just ate my fries. As you can tell, it wasn't that fun! Lol!

Post 31 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 12-Nov-2004 19:40:23

Hi Caitlin,
Well, Mcdonld's serves them only one way, with all that stuff on them. I think some places might serve them a certain way, but maybe they don't tell you, just so you'll give them the money, because they know if they tell you first they serve it only a certain way, you won't order anything, and then they don't get their money.

rap! yuck. I have one rap song I did on the first karaoke machine, but it wasn't as bad as most rap. It took me quite a while to learn all the words without forgetting the words in the middle and fumbling.

Well, I'm not sure wrapping on the table would do any good with Mcdonlds'. They serve their burgers one way, and that's it. I had my cheese burger today, and since it was perfect, there was no need to wrap on the table and make demands, lol.

Hehehehe you guys crack me up. Lol. I like blue cheese dressing, and crutons, but hate salad. Rightn ow, in Health, we're learning about food groups. I feel very unhealthy right now. Lol. We're going to take a sort of survey to see how healthy we are and I know I shal flunk. And in English we're watching the film "Super Size Me," about a guy who ate nothing but mcDonalds for 30 days, as a test to seee how bad it is for you? It was prompted by two obese teen girls suing McDonalds because they said they never knew that the food would make them fat. Anyway, we're watching it and we'll write an analytical paper about it. But yeah. This talk of food makes me think now. Lol.

I have't posted on any of the other boards much lately, thinking i'd just give up on posting except to reply to topics i agree with once in a while, but i'd almost decided to keep my fingersoff the send button on this site, at least for a few months, but i was glad to see this topic revived again. I have nothing against old topics being revived, especially if they are good ones. take care cali girl and have a good one.
